The European Green Capital 2011 offers 2 hour walking tours every Saturday at 15:00, free of charge. This tour explores why Hamburg won the title as well as Hamburg’s up and coming environmental projects for the future.
GEOCACHING – Discover the green side of the city
Discover brand new natural highlights individually and win attractive prizes!
The three geocaches in Hamburg invite guests to explore green sides of city, undiscovered parks, gardens and nature reserves on foot, hiking or cycling.
Get to know Hamburg in climate-neutral ways: on foot, by bus, train or by bike! Thanks to GPS, individuals can explore at almost any time. As a little motivation, each of the three tours offers a "geocache" (for more info on this www.geocaching.de): Along the tour there are some questions whose answers reveal the missing coordinates of a location where the solution word Globetrotter Price puzzle is hidden. All three globecaches are day trips that can be made both with and without GPS.
