1. Infopavilion

The Infopavilion is the central meeting point for all European Green Capital activities, located on Spitalerstraße between Kunsthalle and the main train station. The Infopavilion is comprised of several containers and covers an area of roughly 100 square meters. The pavilion ist hosting a permanent exhibition featuring Hamburg European Green Capital’s environmental attributes as well as host temporary exhibitions to complete the program.

Permanent Exhibition
Visitors can experience the European Green Capital through interactive exhibitions including over 50 projects from industry, science, environmental organizations and administration. In addition to Hamburg’s ideas, the exhibition will display numerous European examples. Those interested in deepening their international exchange may do so via a virtual bus tour. The tour provides an opportunity to interact with the Train of Ideas’ visitors during the course of the Train’s European tour. The aim of the exhibition is to leave visitors with concrete information and tools to allow every individual to contribute to environmental protection.

2. Infopoints

The Infopoints in and around Hamburg’s metropolitan region allow visitors to obtain thematic European Green Capital 2011 Facts and background information surrounding resource protection, urban development and energy. The year 2011 demonstrates how commitment to the environment is not only enjoyable, but improves the quality of life. A series of interactive exhibitions explore complex relationships and provide suggestions for everyday life.
