Schaalsee UNESCO Biosphere Reserve
The 309 square meter conservation area is located between the Hamburg Metropolitan area, Lübeck and Schwerin, of which the 24 square meter Schaalsee is the core.
The exhibition depicts the biosphere reserve and the evolution of opportunities which arose from its creation. The Ice Age tunnel, vivarium and animal telephone- as well as additional interactive features invite visitors to experience the transition from the Ice Age to life today. Visitors may also partake in activities such as hiking „Over Wood, Walkways and Through the Marsh“.
