Infopoint HafenCity Sustainable Pavilion
The exhibition is presents relevant ecological urban development themes in new and engaging ways: Efficient use of sealed port areas, urban density of neighborhoods in combination with concepts for open space, low-energy mobility structures and sustainable building practices related to the core themes of the HafenCity. The pavilion opens as a decentralized infopoint for Hamburg European Green Capital 2011, and will remain open throughout the year.

Exploring HafenCity
The pavilion is the meeting point to explore the new neighborhood first hand through individual innovative concepts: either on your own or through guided environmental tours. Additionally, an accompanying program of events offers a deeper look at issues regarding sustainable urban development.
Environmental Tours
The HafenCity environmental tour begins in the HafenCity Sustainable Pavilion for an overview of the central themes to urban development. Subsequently various aspects of „sustainable land use “, sustainable urban
planning “ and sustainable building“ will be featured through an numerous of best practice projects. The tour is a walking tour through the HafenCity, which lasts roughly two hours.
